Job Description

Newcastle City Council is seeking an agency social worker to join the Community Mental Health Social Work Team within Adult Social Care, based at Westgate Community College, Newcastle (NE4 9LU).

This is an initial 4-week assignment starting 16 August 2026 (with potential extension), paying £27.56 per hour.

The role requires a progressed, qualified social worker with experience in adult social care, ideally with experience of working with adults experiencing mental health difficulties.
