Job Description

Semester Recruitment is seeking a qualified Social Worker for a locum role within Lancashire County Council’s Family Safeguarding Department, based at Fleetwood Library, FY7 6AJ (Fylde & Wyre area). The role requires travel across the patch as needed.

Pay rate: £36.00 per hour. Start date: 15 June 2026. Interviews are being arranged immediately.

Candidates must hold a recognised social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England. A minimum of three years’ experience in a permanent post within a local authority is required, along with demonstrable experience in safeguarding and court work. Candidates must not have held a permanent or fixed-term position with Lancashire County Council within the last 12 weeks.
