Job Description
An opportunity has arisen for a Reablement Assistant with Liverpool City Council’s Adult Social Care and Health directorate, based at Sedgemoor Hub in L11. The role is offered via Prism at £14.93–£19.34 per hour, starting 3 June 2026.
Sedgemoor Hub is a 30-bed facility comprising 10 reablement beds, 10 dementia residential beds, and 10 dementia respite beds, serving the north area of Liverpool. The post holder will work directly with service users to improve and maintain daily living skills, support person-centred care plans, and promote independence and dignity across physical, social, and emotional needs.
Key responsibilities include assisting with personal care and manual handling, supporting service users in activities and therapeutic pursuits, liaising with allied health and social care professionals, contributing to assessment and review processes, and maintaining accurate records. The role requires flexibility across a 7-day rota, with shifts between 8am and 10pm.
An enhanced DBS check (Adult Workforce and Adult Barred List) is required. Essential criteria include experience in an adult social care setting and the ability to follow a designated reablement programme. An NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care is desirable, or a willingness to work towards it.
