Job Description

Bromley Council is seeking a qualified Senior Social Worker to join the Family First Pilot team, based in Penge, SE20. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative multi-disciplinary team of qualified and alternatively qualified practitioners working at the forefront of proposed social care reform.

Working within the Referral and Assessment service, you will assess and provide support to children and families in need, carrying a caseload that spans assessment and Child in Need level work. The team is embedded in the Penge area of Bromley, with a strong collaborative ethos across disciplines.

Requirements:
– Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England
– Experience in children and families assessment work, including Child in Need
– Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary setting
– Commitment to person-centred, reform-driven practice

Rate: £29.83 – £39.04 per hour. Start date: 1 June 2026. Based at Chestnut Grove, Penge, London SE20 8PD.
