Job Description
Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a part-time Fostering Assessment Supervising Social Worker to join their Fostering service on a temporary basis from 22 June to 4 September 2026.
Working 18.5 hours per week (flexible and negotiable), the post-holder must be available Wednesday mornings for team meetings and Thursdays for panel, with remaining hours arranged to suit around these fixed commitments.
The role involves completing Form F and Form K assessments through to panel presentation. Where Form K assessments are undertaken, supervision of foster carers may also be required.
Candidates must hold a recognised Social Work qualification and be currently registered with Social Work England. A minimum of 5 years’ references will be required, with gaps in employment history checked and relevant qualifications verified as per the job description and person specification.

Rate: £35.00 per hour. Location: Piccadilly, Stockport, SK1 3XE.
