Job Description
Manchester City Council is seeking an experienced Adults Social Worker to join a dynamic team supporting adults with learning disabilities, based at the Hulme District Office, Manchester (M15 4UW).
Working alongside social workers and social care assessors, you will manage your own caseload of adults with learning disabilities, progressing cases with initiative whilst supporting colleagues in a busy, fast-paced environment.
Key requirements:
– Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England
– Minimum 3 years’ post-qualifying experience (references required; gaps in employment history will be checked)
– Experience in adults’ learning disability social work
– Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team
This is a temporary contract running from 18 May 2026 to 31 August 2026, paying £30 per hour. The role is based at Hulme District Office, 323 Stretford Road, Hulme, Manchester.
