Job Description
Semester Resourcing is seeking an experienced Registered Manager for Mapleton Road Care Home, a residential service run by the London Borough of Waltham Forest supporting people over the age of 65 living with dementia. This is a day-rate interim role based in Walthamstow (E4), paying £246.00–£323.50 per day, starting 20 July 2026.
You will lead and manage all day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care that meets CQC standards and nationally recognised best practice. Key responsibilities include managing a staff team, overseeing budgets, recruitment, occupancy, health and safety, and the home’s overall performance and reputation. You will ensure residents’ physical, emotional and social needs are met with compassion, and provide operational management cover to Provider Services teams as directed by the Head of Service.
Candidates must have proven experience as a Registered Manager within a residential care home for older people, with a strong working knowledge of CQC requirements and relevant legislation. Experience of safeguarding, quality assurance, partnership working, and presenting performance reports is essential. A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care or equivalent is required. The role includes participation in a managers’ out-of-hours on-call rota and requires a satisfactory enhanced DBS check including barred list.
