Reablement Assistant – Intermediate Care and Reablement – #OR106708
Job Description
Liverpool City Council is seeking a Reablement Assistant to join the Intermediate Care and Reablement service at Townsend Hub, a 35-bed reablement unit in central Liverpool. This is a temporary role paying £14.93–£19.34 per hour, starting 20 July 2026.
The post supports individuals to improve and retain their independence through person-centred enablement. Working as part of an integrated team of allied health and social care professionals, you will assist service users with daily living skills including kitchen tasks, household maintenance, personal care, and medication administration. You will contribute to individual support plans, participate in assessments and reviews, and liaise with families and external agencies to co-ordinate a full range of services.
The role is based at Townsend Hub (106 Townsend Lane, L6) and requires flexibility across a 7-day rota between 8am and 10pm. Physical demands include personal care support and use of manual handling equipment.
An NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it) is essential, along with experience in an adult social care setting and a commitment to promoting independence. An Enhanced DBS check (Adult Workforce and Adult Barred List) is required.
