Job Description
Rochdale Borough Council is seeking an experienced Interim Occupational Therapy Team Manager to lead its Children with Disabilities (CWD) OT service, based at Number One Riverside, Rochdale (OL16 1XU).
This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for the operational and professional management of a dedicated OT team delivering high-quality assessment, intervention, and casework for children and young people with additional needs. You will drive service quality, support staff through supervision and performance management, and ensure positive outcomes that promote independence, safety, and inclusion.
Key responsibilities include leading and managing the CWD Occupational Therapy team; overseeing OT assessments, interventions, and casework; ensuring effective multi-agency working with health partners and wider SEND services; managing risk assessment processes including moving and handling, equipment provision, and safety adaptations; and supporting statutory SEND processes and priorities.
Candidates will be experienced OT leaders with a strong background in children’s services, able to operate at pace whilst maintaining a focus on quality and partnership working.
Rate: £36.10 per hour | 37 hours per week | Start: 27 July 2026 | End: 1 January 2027
