Job Description

Barnet Council is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to cover a one-year maternity leave within the West Locality Occupational Therapy Team, based in Colindale, NW9.

This long-term complex team works primarily on major adaptations via the Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) pathway and the assessment and provision of complex equipment, including manual handling equipment, with a firm focus on supporting adults to remain safe and independent at home.

Key responsibilities include completing occupational therapy assessments in the home environment, recommending appropriate equipment, and advising on minor and major adaptations for adults living in the community.

Applicants must be HCPC-registered Occupational Therapists with demonstrable experience in assessing adults in their own homes, recommending equipment including manual handling equipment, and advising on adaptations.

This is a temporary, community-based role paying £25.01–£34.31 per hour via Prism, starting 31 August 2026. If you have the relevant HCPC registration and community OT experience, please get in touch today.
