Are you an experienced Childrens Advanced Practitioner looking for your next contract role? Bury Council is seeking a skilled and committed professional to join their Family Safeguarding service on an interim basis, starting 18th May 2026 through to 31st August 2026.
This is a pivotal role within a team dedicated to protecting children and supporting families at risk. As an Advanced Practitioner, you will hold a complex caseload, provide practice leadership and consultation to colleagues, and drive high standards of social work practice within the Family Safeguarding framework. You will contribute to multi-agency safeguarding plans, undertake thorough assessments, and support families to achieve positive, lasting outcomes.
The successful candidate will be a qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England, with a minimum of five years’ post-qualifying experience. A strong background in child protection and safeguarding is essential, along with demonstrable experience at an advanced or senior level. Employment history will be thoroughly checked, including any gaps, and relevant qualifications must be evidenced in line with the job description and person specification.
