Health, Safety and Wellbeing Support Officer – Workforce Wellbeing Service – #OR109087

July 21, 2026
£15 - £19 / hour

Job Description

Liverpool City Council’s Workforce Wellbeing Service is recruiting a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Support Officer based at the Cunard Building on Liverpool’s waterfront. This is a hybrid-working role paying £14.93–£19.34 per hour, starting 3 August 2026.

Working within the People & Organisational Culture directorate, you will be the first point of contact for health, wellbeing, and health and safety enquiries from employees, managers, and external partners. You will coordinate workplace adjustment cases end-to-end, track recommendations, maintain accurate records across Occupational Health and H&S documentation, and support the delivery of wellbeing events, on-site clinics, and training sessions.

The role also carries financial and procurement responsibilities — raising purchase and limit orders, processing invoices, tracking expenditure via Council financial systems, and supporting external service-level agreements.

The ideal candidate will have experience in an administrative role within an HR, Occupational Health, or Health and Safety environment, with a track record of managing workflows, handling sensitive and confidential information with care, and communicating clearly at all levels. Strong organisational skills, the ability to work on your own initiative, and a compassionate, solutions-focused approach are essential.

If you are an experienced administrator with a passion for supporting workplace wellbeing, apply now to join a dedicated team in one of Liverpool’s most iconic buildings.
