Job Description

North Tyneside Council is seeking an experienced Family Partner to provide duty cover and pre-allocation support to families on the allocation list. Based at Quadrant East, NE27 0BY, this is a temporary role paying £21.02 per hour, starting 27 July 2026.

The role involves direct work with children, young people and families, taking a whole-family approach. Day-to-day duties include home visits, safety planning, support, guidance and signposting to appropriate services. You will provide pre-allocation support while families await a allocated worker, working within a multi-disciplinary environment.

Ideal candidates will have proven experience engaging with children, young people and families, the ability to support whilst confidently challenging professionals and families where required, strong organisational skills, and the ability to use IT systems effectively for data recording, tracking and monitoring.

This is an unqualified social care post — a social work qualification is not required. If you have the relevant experience and are available from late July, please get in touch.
