Qualified social worker with experience – 37 hours per week

The Preparation for Adulthood team is a based in adult services; the work of the team is driven by an adult legislative framework, including, Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Mental health Act 1983. Social workers work alongside individuals who have special educational needs and who have illness and/or disability as they prepare for adulthood and continue to work alongside them until they reach 25 years of age.

We are seeking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated social worker who has a sound working knowledge of applying legislation, completing strength- based assessments, managing risk and working creatively to support young people to achieve their outcomes. It is desirable for applicants to have knowledge and experience of learning disability or autism or physical disability or mental illness.
You will need to have excellent communication skills and have experience of building and sustaining relationships with young adults, their families and a range of other agencies.
You will be part of an inclusive and supportive team where you will be valued and can shape the services we offer.

Please be aware this is a Long Term Temporary post to start ASAP.

You must have:

  • A professional qualification in social work and experience of working with Adults
  • Social Work England registration.
  • Post qualified experience.
  • References required for the last 5 years of employment.
