It doesn’t matter whether you have previous experience or not, but if you want to help people, the role of care assistant/reablement support worker could be for you.

You don’t need any qualifications or previous work experience to apply for these roles, what’s really important are your values and your attitude towards working with people who need care and support.

We will train you to work with those who need our services to encourage them and help them to become independent so that they can stay in their home environment whilst ensuring that they are treated with dignity and respect at all times.

What we need from you
A caring nature and strong values of treating people with dignity and respect
Willingness to undertake training to a minimum of Level 2 NVQ/QCF in Care (if you do not already have a qualification)
A basic level of reading and writing skills
A current driving licence, or we can provide support to achieve this
Able to work to a rota that includes evenings and weekends

This post is working within the community in people's own homes. Uniform and PPE will be provided.

You will need to be a car driver, with access to your own vehicle

The shifts are generally 7-3 and 3-11 with an opportunity where service need is to do split shifts providing, they take a break in between these shifts.
All breaks are unpaid. For example: 7am -2pm ( 6 hours) and 4pm-11pm ( 7 hours) – 13 hours pay, 2 hours of this will be unpaid 2pm – 4pm

A full induction will be provided to provide information, policy, procedure, working arrangements, health and safety of the building and also community work. Moving and handling will be required within the role and the ability to complete and pass the moving and handling of people course provided by WBC.

Please be aware this is a Long Term Temporary post to start ASAP.

You must have:

  • Post qualified experience.
  • Enhanced DBS/Update service.
  • References required for the last 5 years of employment.
