Job Description

To provide a customer centred service dedicated to supporting residents of the Council’s temporary accommodation. Working holistically, you will prioritise regular engagement with your clients to ensure successful move as outlined in agreed plans and processes.

To arrange and sustain appropriate placements and provide an intensive housing management function for the temporary accommodation units, including property management, facilitating void property clearance, ordering and monitoring of repairs, tenancy and furniture management whilst properties are available for use timely

Work collaboratively with agencies externally and internally while advocating and negotiating on behalf of vulnerable customers, some with multiple and complex needs, to access appropriate services and engage in long-term housing options.

Needs to be a driver

The candidate would primarily be working within the office with occasional home working

Has filled two positions, now looking for a focus on office management and systems who could start to maintain data bases and ‘hit the ground’ running with things like these, maybe from a housing field?

The other two candidates have the support, building, and housing related support backgrounds, but we also need someone with great IT and office management skills, who could maybe pick up the housing related stuff as they go along. This would help us by balancing out the skills sets needed in the team from the temps, if possible.

Please be aware this is a Long Term Temporary post to start ASAP.

You must have:

  • Post qualified experience.
  • Enhanced DBS/Update service.
  • References required for the last 5 years of employment.
