Job Description
Birmingham Children’s Trust is seeking an experienced Team Manager to lead within its Kinship Assessment service, based in Aston, Birmingham (B6 4DU). This is an interim role anticipated to run for 3 to 6 months, paying between £30.41 and £41.42 per hour, starting 1 July 2026.
Reporting to the Head of Service for Fostering Assessment and Recruitment, you will be one of four Assessment Team Managers providing management oversight and professional support to a dedicated team of 7 Assessing Social Workers, one Senior Practitioner, and a Social Work Assistant. You will lead high-quality kinship assessments that identify the strengths, needs, and support requirements of prospective kinship carers, helping to secure stable and nurturing placements where children can thrive.
The service is well established with a supportive, collaborative culture. You will join an experienced permanent leadership group as part of the wider Fostering Management Team.
