Childrens Team Manager – Duty and Assessment – #000B4DDB1
Job Description
Bury Council is seeking an experienced Childrens Team Manager for its Duty and Assessment service, based in Bury (BL9 0EJ). This is a temporary role running from 14 September 2026 to 31 March 2027, paying £40–£46 per hour via XMS.
You will manage the provision of field social work services to the local community, leading a team of social workers to ensure statutory requirements and departmental policies are met. The role encompasses delivering a social work service to children in need and their families, including those requiring child protection interventions.
Applicants must hold a recognised social work qualification (CQSW, DipSW, BA Hons Social Work or equivalent) and have a minimum of three years’ post-qualifying experience in a field social work setting, including substantial child protection experience.
