Childrens Team Manager – Assessment & Safeguarding Service – #5302772
Job Description
Darlington Children’s Services are recruiting an additional Team Manager to support the Assessment & Safeguarding Service amid increased demand and the implementation of Families First Reforms. You will provide strong management oversight, quality assurance and risk management, delivering consistent supervision and professional challenge to Social Workers, ASYEs and Newly Qualified Social Workers. Duties include maintaining oversight of assessments, plans and decision-making, coaching and mentoring practitioners through joint visits and direct observation, leading reflective supervision and group learning sessions, and promoting practice standards through quality assurance and audit activity. You will chair multi-agency meetings including strategy discussions, provide management cover during leave and service pressures, and support the development of innovative service models including Family Help and pilot programmes. This role works alongside five established A&S Team Managers to meet current demand. 37 hours per week with TOIL for additional hours, blended working available with remote working and IT equipment provided.
