Job Description

Birmingham Children’s Trust is seeking a Supervising Social Worker to join their Fostering Team in Aston, Birmingham (B6 4DU), paying £16.49–£22.28 per hour. This is a fairly new role within the Trust, starting 3 August 2026.

The post-holder will support foster carers and prospective carers through the Regulation 24 process, ensuring they receive appropriate advice and are signposted to a range of support services. Specific needs identified during this process will be addressed through reflective or learning sessions tailored to the individual.

The role involves regular visits (approximately every three weeks, subject to further discussion) and active liaison with the team around the child, working collaboratively with other professionals involved in each child’s care.

Social Work England (SWE) registration is required. If you hold a recognised social work qualification and have fostering experience, please get in touch today.
