Job Description

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Social Worker to join Lincoln City Family Assessment and Support Team, co-located with Family Help, Futures4Me and Family Time colleagues. You will manage a varied caseload spanning Child in Need, Child Protection, and Children in Care, alongside private and public law proceedings.

Key duties include completing high-quality Child and Family Assessments, developing effective plans with families and partner agencies, reviewing progress against plans, and demonstrating strong risk assessment and risk management skills. You will support children and families to step down to universal services where appropriate or escalate concerns to safeguard welfare, and prepare clear, analytical reports for court and statutory processes.

We are looking for a confident, experienced practitioner with statutory children’s social care experience, excellent communication and relationship-building skills, and confidence undertaking direct work with children. You should be able to work independently while contributing to a supportive team environment.

Hybrid working is offered, with flexibility to work from home when not on duty, alongside secure parking and a central office location.
