Job Description

Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a Childrens Social Worker specialising in Kinship care on a temporary basis. Based in Stockport (SK1), the role runs from 22 June to 26 August 2026 at £35 per hour.

This is a Supervising Social Worker position within a Kinship service. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years’ post-qualifying experience, with gaps in employment history checked and relevant qualifications verified.

Important: suppliers must complete the DfE Recommendation Compliance Questions and attach the completed file to the candidate record prior to submission. Applications that do not pass these questions will not be progressed.
