Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Social Worker to join Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council’s Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team, based in Droylsden, Greater Manchester.
Working within a multi-agency, multidisciplinary team, you will support disabled children and their families, collaborating with colleagues from a range of professional backgrounds who share a commitment to delivering outstanding services. You will carry a caseload of disabled children and their families, undertaking assessments, care planning, and ongoing support work in line with statutory duties.
This is a fixed-term locum position running from 20 June 2026 to 24 August 2026, paying £35–£39 per hour via the XMS portal (GM Collaboration framework). Candidates must be able to provide 5 years of references and have any gaps in employment history explained. Relevant qualifications will be verified against the job description and person specification.
