Job Description

An experienced Childrens Social Worker is sought in Bolton to support kinship carers and Special Guardians. This role focuses on undertaking assessments of Kinship Carers and Special Guardians, completing annual and other statutory reviews to monitor the care provided to looked after children, and delivering ongoing supervision and support to maintain high standards of care. You will identify training and development needs for carers, advise colleagues on placing children with kinship carers and substitute families, and attend reviews, case conferences, strategy meetings and network meetings, offering advice and support. You will also help organise the Kinship fostering information and advisory service for colleagues and members of the public. This is a hybrid role with an expectation of office-based attendance in Bolton or visits as service needs require, core hours 9am-5pm Monday to Friday, with free on-site parking. Post-qualifying experience with kinship carers and Special Guardians is essential. References and DBS will be required for successful candidates.
