*Childrens Social Worker – FAST Team – #OR104791

Job Description

An experienced Childrens Social Worker is required for Lincolnshire County Council’s FAST (Family Assessment and Support Team) based in Horncastle, LN9. This is a hybrid role offering flexibility for non-duty weeks, with a requirement to be on site for 5 days during duty week (every third week).

You will deliver high-quality statutory social work across Child in Need, Child Protection, and Children in Care cases. Key responsibilities include completing Section 47 enquiries, undertaking comprehensive Child and Family Assessments, leading safeguarding processes, contributing to multi-agency planning, and producing clear analytical reports including court reports. You will apply evidence-based approaches such as Signs of Safety, maintain timely and accurate recording, and make confident risk-management decisions.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate skilled relationship-based practice, effective multi-agency collaboration, and a genuine commitment to improving outcomes and safety for children and families.

Social Work England registration is essential. The role is offered via Prism at £22.20–£29.98 per hour, commencing 30 June 2026. Please get in touch to express your interest.
