Job Description

A Lancashire County Council Children’s Services team based in Preston (Ripon Street) is seeking an experienced Childrens Social Worker to join their Family Safeguarding service. The role involves working across Child in Need, Child Protection, and Court proceedings.

Candidates must have at least three years’ experience in a permanent post within a local authority and must not have held a permanent or fixed-term position with an LA within the last 12 weeks. The post is available from 29 June 2026 and candidates must be able to start within four weeks. Interviews are being arranged as soon as possible.
