Job Description

An experienced Children’s Social Worker is required for Lancashire County Council, based at Lancashire House, Accrington (BB5 1NQ). This is a full-time locum role working 37 hours over 5 days, operating as part of the duty system within Children’s Services. The role is paying £36.00 per hour and is available from 22 June 2026.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a duty and assessment setting, with at least 3 years’ experience in a permanent post within a local authority. Candidates must not have held a permanent or fixed-term position with a local authority within the last 12 weeks.
