Job Description

An experienced Senior Social Worker is required for an Area Social Work Team in West Leeds, working with Leeds City Council. This is a full-time role with an immediate start at £30.74 per hour.

The team holds a mixed caseload across the full spectrum of children’s statutory social work, and candidates must have demonstrable experience across Child in Need, Child Protection, Children Looked After, and PLO/Care Proceedings.

You will hold a recognised social work qualification, be registered with Social Work England, and bring solid post-qualifying experience in a statutory children’s setting. The ability to hit the ground running in a busy area team is essential.

This is an XMS-sourced role. Please note Leeds City Council limits orders to a maximum of two weeks initially, though extensions are typically expected. If you are available and ready to start from 29 June 2026, please get in touch without delay.
