*Childrens Advanced Practitioner – South Fieldwork – #000B19871
Job Description
Sheffield City Council is seeking two Childrens Advanced Social Work Practitioners to join the South Fieldwork area of service, based at Stadia Technology Park, Attercliffe, Sheffield S9. These are full-time, 3-month contracts (15 June – 30 September 2026) at £35 per hour, covering the South Sheffield service area.
You will carry an active caseload of up to 22 children and be expected to undertake complex care proceedings, court work, and Section 47 investigations. Working hours are 37 per week: 8.45am–5.15pm Monday to Thursday, with a 4.45pm finish on Fridays.
Candidates must hold a recognised social work qualification, an ASYE fitness to practice certificate, and current Social Work England registration. A minimum of three years’ post-qualification statutory frontline fieldwork experience is required. Compliance with DfE agency worker regulations is mandatory.
