Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Childrens Advanced Practitioner to join a dedicated social care team based in Horncastle, Lincolnshire. This is a meaningful role at the heart of safeguarding children and supporting families through some of the most challenging periods of their lives.

As Advanced Practitioner, you will hold a complex caseload encompassing child protection, children in need, and court proceedings across both private and public law. You will lead on high-quality assessments of children and their families where safeguarding concerns have been identified, ensuring timely and thorough analysis that informs plans and interventions. You will be instrumental in compiling assessments and court reports to the highest standard, advocating clearly for the best outcomes for children.

The role demands a confident, experienced qualified social worker who is comfortable operating autonomously whilst contributing to the wider team. You will bring substantial post-qualifying experience in children’s services, a thorough understanding of child protection legislation and court processes, and the ability to manage risk effectively.

Candidates must hold a recognised Social Work qualification and be registered with Social Work England. Experience in child protection, CIN, and court work is essential. The role is based at Holmeleigh, Foundry Street, Horncastle, Lincolnshire (LN9 6AQ) and is available from 1 June 2026.
