Job Description
Charnwood Borough Council is seeking a Business Support Officer to support the management of damp, mould, and disrepair cases across its housing stock, based at Council Offices, Southfield Road, Loughborough, LE11 2TX. The role pays £12.71–£16.51 per hour and is available from 6 July 2026.
You will administer systems and processes to record, track, and resolve damp, mould, and disrepair cases, working alongside on-site technical officers, contractors, and the Council’s legal services team. Day-to-day duties include raising repairs orders, booking appointments, processing invoices, assembling performance data, and responding to customer queries and complaints.
The Council operates an agile working policy with a mixture of home and office-based working.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a customer-focused role, be confident using various software packages to input data accurately and efficiently, and be comfortable communicating with customers, colleagues, and contractors by phone and email. You should be able to work with minimal direction, balance competing priorities, and respond quickly to changing situations.
