Job Description

Sutton Council is recruiting a Business Delivery Officer (Grade 4) to join the Insight & Delivery service area within the Commissioning, Insight & Delivery Division at Sutton Civic Offices, SM1 1EA. This is a full-time hybrid-working locum role paying £16.83 per hour, working 36 hours per week, with a start date of 14 September 2026.

This front-line business support role focuses primarily on Continuing Health Care (CHC) and Adults’ Social Care administration. Key duties include managing a busy CHC inbox, processing referrals, coordinating and minuting complex statutory and multi-agency meetings (including Safeguarding Adults Meetings, CPMs, Conferences, and Reviews), processing Hospital Discharge and DoLS referrals, and monitoring and tracking cases across Legal, OT, and AMHP workstreams. The role also provides wider business support across Children’s Social Care processes such as Child Protection, PLO, and panel meetings.

Candidates must have proven experience in a business support environment, be proficient with Mosaic and Google Suite, possess exceptional minute-taking skills for complex panels, and type at a minimum of 50 words per minute. Strong communication, time management, and information governance skills are essential. Some prior experience in a social services setting is desirable.
