Job Description

Oldham Council is seeking a full-time Qualified Social Worker for an initial 3-month placement within the Older People’s Mental Health Team. This role forms part of a multi-disciplinary team supporting and promoting the independence and wellbeing of Oldham residents.

Key responsibilities include completing Care Act assessments, Support Plans and Reviews, including Section 117 Reviews. Experience working in mental health is preferred but not essential.

Candidates must hold a recognised social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England. A car user is essential for this role. Three years of referencing will be required, along with checks on any gaps in employment history and relevant qualifications as per the job description.
