Job Description
Conwy County Borough Council is seeking a qualified Social Worker to join their Older People & Hospital Social Work Services on a short-term locum basis, based at Llys Dyfrig, Llandudno, Conwy (LL30 1LA).
This role involves delivering high-quality social work to older people and those in hospital settings, working in partnership with citizens, carers, and families to promote resilience and independence. Person-centred practice is central, ensuring individuals are at the heart of all decision-making regarding their outcomes.
Key requirements:
– Qualified Social Worker, minimum 3 years post-qualification experience
– Registration with Social Care Wales (essential)
– Demonstrable experience in older people and hospital social work settings
– Strong IT, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
The post is 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, fully office-based at Llys Dyfrig, Llandudno. Candidates must be able to commute to Conwy County. The assignment is expected to last approximately 12 weeks with potential for extension.
Rate: £28.01 – £36.69 per hour. Start date: 20 July 2026.
