Job Description

Salford City Council is seeking two experienced Adults Social Workers to join the Hospital Services and Intermediate Care Service based at Salford Royal Hospital, Salford (M6 8HD).

These are full-time, office-based posts working Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:00, reflecting the operational demands of a busy hospital and intermediate care setting.

You will support patients and service users through hospital discharge planning and intermediate care pathways, working within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment at Salford Royal.

The contract runs from 5 October 2026 to 4 October 2027, at a rate of £30.00 per hour.

To be considered you must be a qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England, with demonstrable experience in a hospital or community-based adults setting.
