Job Description

Blackpool Council’s Autism Team is seeking qualified Social Workers to join on an agency basis whilst permanent recruitment is undertaken, delivering high-quality, person-centred support to autistic adults. Key duties include undertaking Care Act 2014 assessments, completing statutory Care Act reviews, leading safeguarding enquiries under Section 42 of the Care Act, contributing to duty cover as part of a team rota, and working collaboratively with individuals, families, providers and partner agencies. You will need current Social Work England registration, experience within Adult Social Care, and knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act and safeguarding procedures. The role offers hybrid working (minimum 3 days per week at Bickerstaffe House, Blackpool), regular management support and formal supervision within a supportive, experienced team.
