Job Description

Middlesbrough Borough Council is seeking a qualified Social Worker to join its Access Safeguarding Team, based at Fountain Court, Middlesbrough (TS1 9FT). This is a front-door safeguarding role dedicated to the management of adult safeguarding enquiries and leading safeguarding investigations.

The team operates an assessment and safeguarding front door and comprises a Team Manager, two Principal Practitioners, six Social Workers, three Safeguarding Outreach Workers, and two Safeguarding Administrators. Work is underpinned by the policies and procedures of the Teeswide Safeguarding Adults Board (TSAB).

Applicants must hold a recognised social work qualification, be registered with Social Work England, and have a minimum of two years’ post-qualifying experience in safeguarding enquiries and investigations.
