Job Description

Please be aware this is a Long Term Temporary post to start ASAP.

Wrexham County Borough Council Adult Social Care is recruiting an Experienced Social Worker for Adults Single Point of Access SPOA, which is a joint team with Early Response. The Adults SPOA is the front door to Adult Social Care and responsible for screening and responding to all referrals made to the service, determining next steps, signposting and coordinating the offer of Information, Advice and Assistance, where possible. The team work in a collaborative and person centred way and require an experienced social worker who embodies the same values and principles. This is a hybrid role based in Crown Buildings, Wrexham and will require presence in the office 3 days a week with all the necessary technology and equipment to support home working the rest of the week. Any applicant interested would need to be able to meet these requirements and be able to respond from their home working should an emergency occur and office presence was needed.

The following is essential criteria:

– Degree in Social Work

– SWE Registration

– Right to work within the UK

You must have:

  • A professional qualification in social work

  • Social Work England registration.

  • Post qualified experience.

  • Enhanced DBS/Update service.

  • References required for the last 5 years of employment.
