This is a really exciting time to join Rochdale.

The family support and protection service holds children and families from child in need to care proceedings. We currently have 8 Family Support and Protection Teams which are led by 2 heads of service and 2 service managers.

As a service, we are working towards a family safeguarding way of working. Teams will consist of 1 Practice Manager, 1 Advanced Practitioner, 5 Social Workers and 1 family support worker as well as support from drug, alcohol and domestic abuse services. Practice Managers are responsible for the direct supervision of Advanced Practitioners and Social Workers.

Agency Managers are treated no different to our permanent staff and will benefit from our training and development opportunities as well as our work life balance scheme.

2 years reference , gaps in employment history checked, any relevant qualifications as per JDPS

You must have:

• A professional qualification in social work and experience of working with adults.
• Social Work England registration.
• Post qualified experience.
• Enhanced DBS/Update service.
• References required for the last 5 years of employment.
