Social work assistant post has become available within Durham’s Children in Care service. This role will include organising and overseeing family time with children in care and their families as a main duty, supporting with parenting interventions and lifestory work and completing data checks for dental, health and SDQs for children in care. You will be based within a central social work assistant team. The role is full time and all applicants must have a full driving license and business insurance and be willing to use their car for work purposes. The role is full time Monday – Friday 08:30 – 17:00, although some overtime in evenings may be required, TOIL is available as such. Role is based in Durham’s Abbeywoods office, the Children in Care service is county wide however and you may be required to travel to other council offices, such as Seaham and Spennymoor.
