Job Description

Middlesbrough Council is seeking experienced children’s social workers to join its Safeguarding and Care Planning team, supporting the delivery of care to children in the council’s care. These are case-holding social worker positions, paid at the MOU Advanced Practitioner rate. Candidates should hold a recognised social work qualification and relevant experience in safeguarding and care planning work with looked-after children. Please note Middlesbrough will not accept or interview any worker currently employed by one of the 12 North East Local Authorities, agency or permanent, unless in an active notice period; the council is particularly keen to attract candidates based outside the North East region.
