Job Description

Wrexham County Borough Council’s Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Team is seeking a confident and well-organised Business Support Assistant to join their team based at Lambpit Street, Wrexham (LL11 1AR). The ALN Team carries out statutory duties under the ALN Code for Wales, working closely with families, schools, and professional agencies to support children with additional learning needs.

In this role you will use database systems to check, update, and record pupil information with a high level of accuracy; produce and issue correspondence, letters, and documentation within agreed timescales; co-ordinate meetings and help the team meet key deadlines; handle telephone enquiries and deliver excellent customer service; and carry out a range of general office and administrative duties.

The successful candidate will be confident, customer-focused, and able to work independently within a supportive team environment. Strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and confidence using IT systems are essential.

This is a temporary contract via Prism, paying £13.26–£17.15 per hour, starting 14 September 2026.
