Job Description
Semester Recruitment is supporting Liverpool City Council in sourcing a Reablement Assistant for its Intermediate Care and Reablement service, based at Sedgemoor Hub in L11 — a 30-bed mixed unit serving the North area of Liverpool, including 10 long-term residential dementia beds and 10 respite dementia support beds.
This is a hands-on, person-centred role focused on helping individuals improve and retain their independence. Working flexibly across a 7-day rota between 8am and 10pm, you will deliver support in line with individual care and support plans, assist with daily living skills (including kitchen tasks, household maintenance, personal care, and health management), administer medication where required, and work collaboratively with allied health and social care professionals to minimise risk and promote community living.
The role also involves direct support for social, recreational, and therapeutic activities, working in the on-site café, and participating in assessments and reviews.
Essential requirements include experience in an adult social care setting, the ability to follow a designated reablement programme, and good verbal and written communication skills. An NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care is required or a willingness to work towards it. An Enhanced DBS check (Adult Workforce and Adult Barred List) is required.
