Job Description

Semester Recruitment is sourcing a Reablement Assistant for Liverpool City Council’s Intermediate Care and Reablement service, based at Sedgemoor Hub in L11 — a 30-bed mixed unit serving the north of Liverpool.

This is a hands-on, person-centred role supporting adults to improve and retain their independence. The Hub provides enablement support, long-term dementia care, and a dementia respite unit. Working across a 7-day rota between 8am and 10pm, you will deliver support in line with individual care and support plans, working alongside allied health and social care professionals, families, and external agencies.

Key responsibilities include assisting service users with daily living skills (kitchen skills, household maintenance, personal care), administering medication where required (community staff), supporting recreational and therapeutic activities including on-site café work, and contributing to assessment and review processes. Manual handling equipment is used routinely.

Candidates must hold an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or be willing to work towards it, and have experience in an adult social care setting. An Enhanced DBS (Adult Workforce and Adult Barred List) is required.

Rate: £14.93–£19.34 per hour. Start date: 27 July 2026. Sourced via Prism — Matrix-compliant candidates are preferred.
