Childrens Social Worker – Children and Families Team – #OR107365

July 3, 2026
£22 - £30 / hour

Job Description

Join a welcoming, supportive and stable front-line children and families team based in Louth, Lincolnshire, working with children and families from the point of referral through CIN, Child Protection, and Care Proceedings.

This is a busy, rewarding role where you will complete Child and Family Assessments, work alongside partner agencies, and carry out enquiries to ensure children are being cared for safely. The team holds cases across CIN and CP frameworks and manages both private and public law proceedings. You will benefit from well-established relationships with partner agencies including Family Help, Family Group Decision Making, and health services.

The team operates on a three-weekly duty rota — one week on duty (office-based, with new case allocation) and two weeks off duty. The office is located in Louth, a rural area in the Lincolnshire Wolds, with free on-site parking.

The role is offered on a locum basis at £22.20–£29.98 per hour via Prism, starting 7 August 2026. Candidates must hold a recognised social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England, with demonstrable experience in CIN, CP, and care proceedings.
