Job Description
An experienced Childrens Social Worker is sought to join Lincolnshire County Council’s East Lindsey FAST Team, based at Foundry Street, LN9 6AQ. This is a statutory children’s social work role covering Child in Need, Child Protection, and Children in Care, paying £22.20–£29.98 per hour via Prism, commencing 7 August 2026.
You will deliver high-quality statutory social work across the full range of children and families casework, including completing Section 47 enquiries, undertaking comprehensive Child and Family Assessments, and managing risk using evidence-based approaches such as Signs of Safety. You will lead safeguarding processes, contribute to multi-agency planning, produce clear analytical reports (including for court proceedings), and maintain timely, accurate recording.
The team operates a duty rota on a three-weekly cycle. During your duty week you will be expected to be on site for all five days; outside of duty weeks there is flexibility for hybrid working.
You must hold a recognised social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England. Confident decision-making, skilled relationship-based practice, and effective multi-agency collaboration are essential, alongside a clear commitment to improving outcomes and safety for children and families.
