Job Description
Lincolnshire County Council is seeking an experienced Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) for a remote, interim position paying £27.17–£36.83 per hour, starting 27 July 2026.
In this role you will be responsible for managing allegations against individuals who work or volunteer with children, including those who hold inherent authority through their role and regular contact with children. You will liaise with employers to ensure children are safeguarded, and work alongside police, children’s social care, employers, and other professionals and regulatory bodies to assess risk. The LADO does not conduct investigations directly but oversees and directs them to ensure thoroughness, timeliness, and fairness, challenging delay in case progress where necessary.
Applicants must be a qualified social worker registered with Social Work England and bring demonstrable LADO experience. This is a remote role with Lincolnshire County Council.
