Adults Social Worker – Safeguarding Adults – #000B29A71
Job Description
Blackpool Council is seeking three qualified Social Workers to join its Safeguarding Adults service on a temporary basis for eight weeks, starting 27 July 2026.
Based at Talbot Gateway in central Blackpool, you will specialise in the completion of safeguarding enquiries, including those generated by new concerns as well as longer-standing cases helping to alleviate pressure on operational teams. You may also assist with screening referrals and gathering initial information to determine whether a safeguarding enquiry is required.
Blackpool operates a hybrid working model requiring three days per week in the office, with two days working from home (subject to service need). The Talbot Gateway office is well served by rail links, and discounted parking is available on council car parks.
Rate: £30.66 per hour. Hours: 37 per week. Start: 27 July 2026. End: 20 August 2026.
Requirements include a recognised social work qualification, current Social Work England registration, three years of checkable references, and satisfactory employment history with any gaps accounted for.
