Adults Social Worker – Learning Disability Team – #000B299B1

Job Description

Blackpool Council is seeking a qualified and experienced Social Worker to join their Learning Disability Team, based at Talbot Gateway, Blackpool (FY1 3AH). This is a four-week locum engagement starting 20 July 2026, paying £30.66 per hour.

The role sits within a flexible working arrangement of up to two days working from home and three days office-based per week. The post may be required to cover duty, which is an office-based task.

Key responsibilities include carrying out assessments and reviews under the Care Act 2014, acting as a safeguarding lead, and coordinating and conducting safeguarding enquiries. Candidates must hold a recognised social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England. Three years of references are required, with gaps in employment history checked.

The Talbot Gateway office benefits from a variety of parking options and strong public transport links.
