*Family Time Worker – Referral and Assessment Team – #000B03551
Job Description
Bolton Council is recruiting a full-time Family Time Worker (37 hours per week) to join the Referral and Assessment Team, based at Castleton Street, Tonge Moor, Bolton (BL2 2JW). This is a temporary role running from 22 June to 2 October 2026, paying £16.43 per hour PAYE (£20.83 umbrella).
Working alongside Referral and Assessment Social Workers, you will deliver high-quality intervention with children and families to achieve positive outcomes. Duties include supporting family time sessions, completing home visits, direct work with children, supporting families with behaviour management strategies, routines and boundaries, budgeting, and referring families to appropriate support services.
You will work with families subject to Child in Need plans, Child Protection procedures, and court proceedings. The role is partly office-based with the expectation of travelling to Bolton at short notice to meet service needs. Free on-site parking is available and a driving licence is essential.
